 Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis is a benign, uncommon type of chronic manifested by focal or diffuse severe inflammatory process the gallbladder (GB). It disease characterized infiltrations plasma cells, lipid-laden histiocytes, and fibroblasts proliferation in GB wall. Gallstones are present all patients, like most symptomatic diseases, there female predominance. an active which could leads to significant morbidity. The term was initially proposed Goodman Ishak 1981. pathogenesis XGC rupture Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses extravasation bile into muscular layer. serosa results adhesion adjacent liver, duodenum, transverse colon. Macroscopically, it appears yellowish masses wall GB. Radiologically important mimic carcinoma.

Xanthogranulomatous gastritis: association with xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis.

A case of xanthogranulomatous inflammation of the gastric wall is reported. The lesion was associated with adherent xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis and simulated, clinically, a malignant neoplasm. Histologically, foamy histiocytes, multi-nucleated giant cells, other inflammatory cells, fibrous reaction with spindle cells and cholesterol clefts were found.
